I'm trying to create a dynamic link to the home / root page within my skin. The code I'm using is:

<a href="<%=NavigateUrl(PortalSettings.HomeTabId)%>" title="Home">

Everything I've read suggests that this should work, and it almost does, however it gives me the following URL:

http://www.mywebserver.com/bgnweb/Portals/_default/Skins/BGNDemo/http://www.mywebserver.com/bgnweb/Home.aspx

The second part of the above URL is what I'm looking for, but for some reason it's appending that to the URL of the skin folder, which obviously gives an invalid URL and results in a bad request HTTP error code. Any clues on where I'm going wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

I've done a little more investigation - the user control that DNN generates has the following markup:

<a href="<%= SkinPath %><% NavigateUrl(PortalSettings.HomeTabId)%>" title="Home">

So it's adding the SkinPath to the front. I could just take the SkinPath out of the .ascx, but I'd rather that the skin was installable without having to edit the .ascx afterwards. So how can I stop the path SkinPath being added to the front of the URL?

Dan
