I have tried to clean up some files and want to get rid of old unused skins and containers. I get a message for all of them that "This Skin ( container) is in use and can not be deleted.

I only have 15 pages to my site and none of these are being used How do I find out where they are being used or better yet how can I bypass this and stil delete the older skins and containers

Thanks in advance for the help.

Do you have any deleted pages in the recycle bin?

Do you have any other portals?

You might also check individual module instances to see if they have a container set.

Only 1 portal w/ this DNN Install.

Looks like the problem was with alot of the old skins being in the Recycle Bin.

That didn't even dawn on me?? Thanks For the tip. I've only got 1 set of skins now that I can not delete. but that is a little easier to search for.

Thanks Again for the tip

you need to delete files (or folders) one by one, cause as soon as a folder content has changed, ASP.net process rescans the folder content and locks it for some time.
