I have installed DNN 05.01.04 (3) on my Godaddy dedicated server and I am trying to configure the SMTP settings to use an email account that is provided free by godaddy when I registered my domain name. I set up an email address via Godaddy's Email Control Center and have tried to enter these credentials for the SMTP server settings:

Authentication:  Basic
SMTP Server and Port:  smtpout.secureserver.net
SMTP Username:  email.address@domainname.com
SMTP Password: PASSWORD

Upon clicking the Test link, I get the following error message:

There has been an error trying to send the test email. The error is:
There is a problem with the configuration of your SMTP Server. Mail was not sent.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Is it not working becuase I've installed DNN on a dedicated server and thus cannot use an outside SMTP server?
