We just upgraded the site from 4.9 to 5.1.4 and in trying to change Site Settings it keeps throwing a error code. Any insights to overcome this appreciated:

it is a known issue: first, go to languages in Admin menu and add "English (United States)" with no fallback and enabled=true.

 OK, doing that throws this error on the Language Module:

 

Error: is currently unavailable.

you cannot add the same language twice. select from dropdown and ensure it is enabled.

 Got it, thanks. Had to click on the Edit Language pencil under the language pull down to enable.
