Hello

I have just added a new blog and when I click on the XML icon the RSS feed errors in RSS readers (SharpReader). I pasted the URL into
http://feedvalidator.org

and I get the following errors:

Sorry

This feed does not validate.

  • line 2, column 61: XML parsing error: <unknown>:2:61: syntax error [help]

    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
                                                                 ^

In addition, this feed has an issue that may cause problems for some users. We recommend fixing this issue.

  • Feeds should not be served with the "text/html; charset=utf-8" media type [help]

Here is the error that the RSS Reader DNN module throws:

News Feed Is Not Available At This Time. Error message:This is an unexpected token. The expected token is 'WHITESPACE'. Line 2, position 62.

Rodney,

please check the following:

Is there a page description for the page where the blog module is located?
If not, please take care of that there is a portal description available in portal settings.

If both descriptions are missing the problem you have described can occur.

HP

Thanks for the quick answer HP, but I have a description on this page, and in the portal settings. The only thing I don't have on that page is KeyWords.

Any other ideas?

Here is the link if it helps?

Rodney,

there is something mysteriously.

I have tried the link you provide, and I got no error, everything seems to be fine. I have also used  the feed validator to validate your link, and the result is that the feed seems to be OK.

Have you tried to access the feed from another computer?

regards

HP
