My first test of the new DNN 5.2 release was to test the HTML module regarding national characters.

It looks like the module does not work for me any longer. charachters like åäö oes not work properly in view mode but in works in edit mode.

I dont thik I have done anything wrong but you never know. If I am right this is a Showstopper. All sites with those characters will fail!

I asume the testing team has tested the module.......

Please confirm if you have the same behaivior or not.

Just upgraded  an other testsite and all Html modules replace my characters åäö with ?

I will add it in gemini as a bug.  Next time Please test basic things regarding international users before release.

Maybe you should test the release ;)

Two languages sw and us enabled. Same result if I enabled ML i host.

As the HTML module replace the caracters with a ? I asume some error in HTLM encoding is done due to the fact that å ä ö does not render a ?

But I cant check the code as it is not released.

The module is reading the cache wrong. If I set the cache to 0 it works as expected.

So maybe it is a more general error.

(Link works cache or not)
