 i made an upgrade from dnn 4.9.5 to dnn 5.2

i had no error during the upgrade but when i open the portal after the upgrade i alwas get this error:

i changed the skins to default skins, but the error is still here.

i have no idea what i could do.

Michael,

I suggest clearing local browser cache and cookies.

Also be aware of a caching problem reported with NON-ASCII characters like German umlauts.

Any updates on this? I am having the very same issue. I tried the above suggestion and that didn't resolve it.

GetPortalDefaultSkin has only two lines of code...

SkinDefaults defaultContainer = SkinDefaults.GetSkinDefaults(SkinDefaultType.ContainerInfo);
return "[G]" + RootContainer + defaultContainer.Folder + defaultContainer.DefaultName;

...I'd guess that GetSkinDefaults is returning null for some stupid reason. I believe that it should not do so in normal running. GetSkinDefaults is also short, and it uses the server side cache object. It's a long shot, but I would try a stop/restart of IIS on the server. I seem to recall upgrades that didn't work properly for me until I did that.
