 Hi,

I'm building a CMS for structured data. The content elements have multiple fields, each of which may require a different editing widget (e.g. checkbox, selection list, free text, etc). My users create and edit records, and must be limited to the structure I enforce. I have 3 types of records, each will have tens of thousands of instances.

I set-up such a system quite easily with Drupal, using its CCK (content construction kit) module. Does DNN have anything similar? Where can I find proper documentation for creating such structured content?

Thanks,

roadler

no, there is no content structure in DNN, each module is able to provide it's own content structure.

You can create structured linear tables by using form and List module.

Unlike Drupal, which has one such module (CCK), Dotnetnuke has many of these types of modules available.

The modules range from allowing you to build simple forms (contact forms, etc.) to building full blown web applications within DNN. Such as Open Web Studio, Xmod, Dotnetmushrooms' RAD, Indoogrid, XmodPro, etc.  Take a look at them on www.snowcovered.com
