Is there a way to prevent an email from being sent to a user after they've been added to a security role?  I want to have a few "secret" security roles that user's don't know about.  When they log-in, they'll see different content based on the view settings of the modules.

I have the role set as a non-public role.  When I assign a user to the role though, the user gets an email indicating that they're in a new role.  I want to prevent that.  Is this configurable?  If not, what do I need to do in the code to change this behavior?

Thanks!

Okay, I see the option under the User Roles where you can deselect notification.  There should be an option though to configure the default notification setting per role, so that in a given role I can specify whether to send notifications or not.

Currently, the default is true and setting checked="false" in the checkbox control wasn't good enough.   I had to go to the vb code-behind to change the default setting to false.

At the very least, it'd be nice if this was configurable -- I'd hate to accidently send a notification for certain roles that the users aren't supposed to see.

Regards,
Oren
