I have been trying to get a website up and running but I cant figure out how to get it on the net (I have been trying for a few days off and on).  I bought a domain from godaddy.com.....I set up dnn through the install package and put it in IIS.  I can get to http://localhost/DNN startup page since I already went through the wizard.  I can't figure out how to get godaddy and IIS pointing to eachother.  I set up godaddy total dns control to point to my ip address but I can't get it to work.  Can someone please explain how to get the domain from godaddy.com to work so I can access it from a non networked computer please.

Thanks

So you're hosting on your own system, not on GoDaddy, correct?  And you need help entering the proper DNS information into GoDaddy for your registered domain?  And you checked with GoDaddy for help and they said...?

Is your server on a network behind a broadband modem or router?  Have you configured address translation for the public IP to your internal private IP?  Do you have a dynamic IP address?  If so, are you using a dynamic IP service?  Have you configured the portal alias for the new domain?

Only the last question has anything to do with DNN, the rest are basic networking and name resolutiuon issues.

Jeff
