I am using a DNN site trying to improve perfomance using pageblaster and a viewstae module - having trouble getting to make much difference. I have noticed that dotnetnuke.com is also very slow, every search you do on a thread or forum just times out! Dont suppose it gives me much hope does it.

Has anyone found that these modules dramatically improve performance?

Thanks

Search on this site is broken, please use www.searchdotnetnuke.com.

Pageblaster can dramatically improve performance if properly used, but first you should apply DNN intermal performance options properly - object caching (set the option to "heavy" in host settings, if you have sufficient RAM) and module output caching (in module settings for static modules). Compression will help as well to download HTML, static elements can be compressed by IIS configuration.

Use YSlow to analyse your pages and Windows performance tools to analyse server bottlenecks.
