I would like to build a web site using the DotNetNuke framework.  However, I am not sure that I understand the licensing rights.  The web site sort of claims that it is free, but then, only the Elite Premium offers [Increased Indemnification].  Why would I want to use a product, when 500,000 of its home-developers may want to sue me?  I totally dont understand this business model.  Can someone please explain?

Increased Indemnification
The Elite Edition  Premier  includes increased product copyright indemnification for
your organization. This contrasts with the Professional Edition indemnification which
is limited to the value of the subscription fee. With the Elite Edition Premier, your
organization is indemnified against third party copyright infringement claims related
to the Professional Edition source code. The indemnification does not extend to
third party DotNetNuke extensions. Speak to your sales professional for details on
the Elite Edition Premier indemnification limits.

For an explanation, email sales@dotnetnuke.com.  Or check with your attorney.  Your concerns are valid, but misplaced.  Only about 60,000 home developers would sue, and that's the same with any open source product.  If you feel strongly about this, buy and use a commercial product.
