L.S.

I am setting up DNN for a customer as a proof of concept, but I run into some problems:

After following the installation instructions  on a new (virtual) machine (Windows 2003 (IIS 6.0), SQLserver 2005, DNN 5.02) I receive a server error (Compilation error).

The error is described as follows:

Compiler Error Message: BC31072: Warning treated as error : withEvents variable 'form' conflicts with property 'form' in the base class 'Page' and should be declared 'Shadows'.

Source File: C:\DotNetNuke\Default.aspx    Line: 25

I tried redoing the entire procedure, but alas... the same result.

Any Ideas?

Cheers,

Mathijs van Riel

Make sure, ASP.Net 2.0 is configured in IIS web site settings.

In 'Webservice Extensions', ASP.NET 2.0.50727 is set to 'Allowed'

and in the properties of the virtual directory for DotNetNuke, in the ASP.NET tab, this same version is selected.

Is this what you meant by configuring ASP.Net in IIS?

this sounds correct. there seems to be a configuration problem with jit compiler settings, which treats warnings as error (which is not the default).

Hmmm.. that puzles me... The installation is straight out of the box, no tweaking or whatsoever.

Any hints on how or where to set the compiler directives?
