I'm having the same issue (missing icons). Each of the different forum themes results in different sets of icons being available. Also I seem to be missing the css class "Forum_ToolbarLink" in all but the Default theme. The only way I could get all the icons to show was to use the Default theme and use "png" for Theme Image Extension. Any other theme (any other extension), and most of the icons were missing. Running DNN 5.2.1 Forums 4.4.3

Only 1 theme, Default, is kept up to date at this time with the release. This means, you potentially need to update any other themes (including your own custom ones or previous release ones) to include new icons and css classes. The only reason the image extension exists is so that other things can be used but the default one does require .png.

Thanks for the explanation.  I took this to mean that if I changed the module to use the Default theme, my missing icon issue would go away; but it didn't.  In fact, it got worse.  I get better results by using the SimplyClean or DotNetNuke themes, but in both cases the "Previous" and "Next" arrow images seem to be missing.  Also I don't get any of the images in the top forum navbar, I just get words with underlined links, all run together.  If I need to update these themes, from where do I get the changes and where do I put them?
