Since the skins were entered into different categories for different purposes it would have been nice if we could have voted per category. For instance I wanted to vote for Mark Allen's skin from a mark-up/technical aspect but would have liked to vote for Jon Edwards or T-worx skin from a graphics standpoint. But since I can't vote for everyone's skin (grin) all I can do is send a big thank you to all that invested the time and effort to enter a skin in the contest. Thanks also to those that administered the contest!

@Greg - Thanks for the comment, Greg. Glad you like my entry...

Know I'm not meant to be promoting on here, but there are a few really well marked-up skins from a technical stance, Mark's being one of them. But Tracy Wittenkeller's, (*ahem*) mine, Cuong Dang's, Armand's and a couple others are lean, mean, full XHTML / CSS skins - some totally tableless.

@Jeff, Greg and Others -

If you are interested in seeing the source simply "View Source" in your browser. And if you're interested in how these sites degrade when you disable the CSS styling (the stack flow), get yourself the web-developer toolbar for FireFox, and disable all styles (Menu > CSS > Disable Styles > All Styles). With the same tool, you can also view the CSS. By doing these three things, you'll get a better idea of how these sites and skins have been put together.

The judges though have no doubt gone through all the nitty-gritty technical details and selected the winners accordingly. Like Timo has confirmed, you're only voting for your favourite - and it is a tough choice...

I couldn't agree more on the level of work - all round - well done and good luck to those that entered and well done to the Experience guys for pulling it off.

@Armand Like I said, not sure we should be promoting or mentioning favourites...

On the public voting; I'll try to explain why we made this choice.

We did consider having the public voting per category.
But since we had quite strict voting criteria for the judges, we realized you cannot ask everybody to judge that way.
We argued that, the way people would vote, would be anything between "first impression" (graphically) and a full research like the Judges did.
That could lead to "strange" results because we cannot predict on what criteria "the public" would be voting.

So we decided to make it completely "unfair" and have the voting over all categories, just your personal favorite (according to your criteria).
