 Hi,

We have launched the site but there is some hardcoded local site url can we change that from the control panel or is there any setting to chnage all the url in one stroke.

no, there is no such options, due to those links being stored in various columns of multiple tables and within rich  text content.

There is a free tool by engagemodules.com, to update content in Text/HTML modules, but I am not sure, it is able to handle versions of HTML module in DNN5

This tool: http://www.evotiva.com/Modules/DNNSearchReplace.aspx will work with any DNN version (becasue it's not really a module but a single aspx page), any table, any column (search and replace).
