‘Morning All

Recently, I have been trying to add/update content on my website, but I am running into a problem with the fields on a Page’s Settings page.

The following fields are not available to me:

- Description
- Keywords
- Page Header Tags
- Link Url

It is as if the "token" for "show field box" has been set to an "Off" state; there is no border, etc. just blank space.

But when I view the code for the page via a Browser (Visitor View), the information is there.

I have tried the following:

- Logged in as Portal and Host Admins;
- Different Browser (IE & FF);
- Different OS (XP, W2k3, Ubuntu);
- Different Machines;
- Different Networks;
- Different Physical Locations;

My specs are:

- Hosted Environment
- DNN 05.01.01 (98)
- SQL W2k8
- .NET Framework: 3.5

Has anyone seen or heard of something like this?

Any idea on how to resolve?

Would updating to 5.1.4 help?

(Trying to hold out for 5.2...)
Thanks in advance,

Andrew

Most likely, it is a caching or compression issue, another option would be a corrupt resource file from a 3rd party language pack or module.

I was thinking caches too, but I'm not sure where or which to delete.

In regards to the 3rd party sw conflict, I'm running pretty clean, and when I first noticed the issue, I don't remember having updated anything... My issue, "just started to happen/noticed"... hence why I'm thinking cache...

Please let me know which/where caches?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

Here is the latest...

I have cleared the cache, and restarted the application…
(Local machine and on my Hosted environment)

I have also Upgraded to 05.02.00 (275)
(that was an adventure unto itself...)

Other then DNN cores, I am running:

Skins -

  • Minimalist Black Flat - 2.0.0
  • Minimalist Black Glass - 2.0.0
  • Minimalist Black Gradient - 2.0.0

Extensions -

  • Active Forums - 4.1.7
  • BulkUser Manager 2 - 2.7.9
  • Expandable Text/Html - 4.0.1
  • OnyakTech.Donations - 1.20.50
  • Ultra Media Gallery (Suite) - 5.5.2
  • UMG-Generic Presentation - 4.0.1

Is there are way to "Disable" an Extension (a la MSConfig)?
- Is it as simple as renaming a directory?

Thoughts?

Have you tried changing the (admin) skin to one of those included with the DNN package?
