Hi,

When I click on a sub-link in the forum control panel, I get every time in the left lower corner a error message:
a yellow triangle with the message "error on page", after this I cannot choose another link, the program stucks.
Only, After a click on the Forum->Forum manager, the error disappears, and I can proceed.
After this I can choose another sub-link.

What to do about this?
Regards, Ton Hermes

Could you check please your event log in the Admin section for issue log that related to this issue and post it here?

Thanks

Matthias

There is nothing about this in the eventlog.
Following is in detail over the problem with the forum module.

DNN: 5.1.4
Forum: 4.5.3.
Skin: InSkin Steelblue from Cybespacesolution

The containers of the skin has a min/max function.
This min/max function does not work properly with the forum module.
When it is in the min mode, I cannot get it max anymore.
I have setup to display the forum without container now.
The forum is only visible in view mode now.

On every other page of my site, this min/max function works properly with other kind of modules.
So I made a test page (forum1), put the same modules on it as in the original (forum) page, and tested the min max function.
Everything worked fine.
Then I moved the forum module to this test(forum1) page.
After this moving, the min/max function of all the containers did not function anymore.

After this I tried to check out the settings of the forum module.
Then I got the strange behavior I described earlier.

When I navigate in the Forum Admin->ControlPanel->attachments, or any other choice, the following error occurs.
1 the little squares, below the menu, stays on from left to right.
2 the yellow triangle left below appears, with the message, Error on page.
After a click on Forums->forum manager, you can proceed further.
Any other click does not work.

Above error message was the reason I tried to move everything to another page, however this does not help.
Every time when the forum module is placed on a page I get this strange behavior.
The next step I thought was to export the content of the forum, However there is no export function.

Now I'm out of option, does not know what to do anymore, to get everything to work properly.
I hope you have a solution for me.
Regards, Ton

I would change the skin on the page to a core one (temporarily), then go to the forum admin control panel again. I would then disable the transparency javascript (under User Interface) and see if things work as expected. Then, i would put the original skin back in place and test. If this still doesn't work I have to guess there is some conflict in the navigation menu javascript (the control panel screens use this).
