I'm looking for a way to incorporate a page sidebar such that a different sidebar will be associated with each template.  I could insert the sidebar text in each template, but then future changes to a sidebar would require editing all the pages.  A solution that seems to make sense is inserting an <!--#include virtual= "/sidebar_1.html"--> into the templates, but I can't make this work.  (The include code shows up in pages built from the template, but the content of the included file is not displayed.  I can make it work when the include is inserted into a skin file, but I would rather use templates since they are so much more accessible to end-users during the process of adding a new page.
