I'm hoping someone will have some tips that will reduce this pounding headache I now have.

Using Catalook a lot of the time when someone adds a product the the cart (using the querystring method), possibly also when using a coupon... the AppPool is going crazy and says it's too many.  Takes a lot of start/stop etc to get it rolling again.

What are the ideal settings for the Application Pool that can help prevent this?

I currently have:

Recycling

Recycle worker processes (in mins): 1740

Performance

Request Queue Limit
Limit the kernel request queue (number of requests): 1000

Web garden
Maximum number of worker processes: 1

Health

Enable pinging
Ping worker process every (frequency in seconds): 30

 

I'm currently using DNN 4.9.5 and no web farm.

Any tips would be appreciated!

Bump.

Well the physical headache finally disappeared on Sunday but I'm still hoping to sort this out.

Does anyone have any recommendations for changes to these settings?

Leave them at the defaults unless you have a specific reason to change them.  Unfortunately, I can't find any error message with the description "AppPool is going crazy and says it's too many" so can't really help without full error messages.  Also make sure you use Catalook's support options.
