Hi,

I wonder if anyone has any experience or could shed some light on what I am trying to achieve. I have searched the forums and google but have so far not found anything related to this.  I have another site that is built in asp.net 3.5 and we want to have common login platform between our DNN site and the other site.  The other site has its only Groups and Profile information, but effectively I want the username and password syncrhonised between the two databases.

I notice that DNN doesn't appear to use Profile information, so wondered if I could put my own one in this, but I see this as a less desirable solution.  Could I put a trigger and synchronise between databases? or get DNN to use the other database to perform login verification.

Have anyone done anything like this? Any advice or help appreciated.

Cheers,

Andrew

Yes you can do this, just set the application name to be the same for both applications, and then make sure that your machine key values are the same and you can read from the same membership database.
