I have added a new control (ascx) to my custom module. I redirect to that control using ...

Response.Redirect (EditURL("xx","yy","ViewDetail"))

The problem is even though my ascx controls is still empty, when i navigate to that new control it already contains some table. How do i remove all this prebuilt tables ?

Please Help.

If your new .ascx user control is truly empty and the corresponding .ascx.vb or .ascx.cs code behind files are truly "empty", I'm not sure what "prebuilt" table you would be seeing. Perhaps a screen shot or listing of the code (if any) in the new user control would help us understand better.

Have you registered the definition for this new user control (and particularly its ControlKey 'ViewDetail') in the module's definition?
