Is there a way (without using third-party module) to let visitors of a portal recommend articles of a blog to other through e-mail?

Can you be more specific about what you are looking for?  Describe what you would like for a user to do.  If you are just looking for "recommend this page" type of functionality, there are a number of modules which will accomplish this simple task on www.snowcovered.com.

I see your need, but unfortunately, DotNetNuke currently does not provide a concept of "deep  linking", i.e. to provide this feature for a single blog post, this would be necessarily implemented by the individual module. Currently this is not supported by the blog core module, and in fact, i would prefer a general approach in the core framework instead.

Actually I think you can add a third-party wdiget to do it like sharethis bookmark in our post : Develop Your Customized Theme for DNN Blog Module. Hope it makes sense.
