I have a single DNN installation with multiple portals and want to be able to allow some users (in specific roles) to be able to log into one of these portals, then click on a link to go to another of these portals without having to log in again. This was working when I had all the portals under the same domain name with different virtual directories as long as I set up users in both portals with the same username & password but I had to give each portal unique domain names & now users have to log into each portal.

I purchased a DNN Masters Multi-Portal-User-Sharing-Xtreme but am having some problems with the install & configuration of it. In the mean time while I try to get that working, I'm wondering if anyone has any other ideas as to how to accomplish this?

Hi Chris,

have a look at Michael Washington's site http://www.adefwebserver.com/dotNetNu...  and read about Portal Login,  AutoPortalLogin  and perhaps SingleSignOn, there may be something there for you.

You will need to use a third-party solution, such as one of those mentioned in the post above.

This is due to the fact that the login information is stored in a session cookie, that can only be read by sites on the same domain.
