Using DNN 4.9 and Documents 4.1 - there are no errors in the event log regarding any of this

I have several document modules on a single page in an aggrigator, each representing a year 2003 through 2009, with an archive of pdf newsletter files.  I noticed recently that the 2003 through 2006 module were not displaying any files.  My first thought was an aggrigator problem, so I moved one of the modules to an empty page.  Still no document list.

All documents, for the modules that work and the modules that do not work are in the same physical directory.

I tried adding a new document to a module that was not displaying any, there were no errors, but the document does not display in the module.  I checked the database and the new record exists.

Through the SQL Manager I executed the GetDocuments stored proc manually using the correct module and portal id's - the correct document records came up in the query.

I performed a simple query to make sure the FileId was valid for the document in the Files table - all is well there.

I've compared the data in records for modules that do work against modules that don't work - no difference

I checked the permissions on the physical file - all is well there (comparing document that does not display to one that does)

I am at a complete loss as to what else I can look at to see what is going on.

Can anybody else suggest something that I may have overlooked?

Thanks,

Rob

Rob, is the issue the same for 1) the SuperUser (Host), 2) Administrators, 3) Registered Users 4) Unauthenticated Users?

Did you compare the "View Settings" (Security Role Permissions) between a module that does work vs. one that doesn't?

You mentioned checking permissions on the files, did you check the folders?

Just "grabbing at some straws" here...

Chuck

Yes, the problem is the same across roles.  Checked permissions on the file and directory levels both physical and in DNN... still mystified.

Thanks for grabbing at straws with me!
