OK - Thanx :-)
I made sure that there are no files or folders with special chars. In filemanager i have synchronized everything in the portal structure.
Where can I see what file or folder causes the FileIO Exception? Stacktrace isn't that helpfull right now.

unfortunately there is no option to locate the file which fails the process.

I suggest reviewing all folder permissions inside portal home directory and file names/sizes for anomalies.

Make sure, image files contain valid images as well, because the sync process tries to read image dimensions.

Seems to be a really general problem with installation I guess.
Checked all files and security settings.
Problem happens in all of my portals an the same dnn installation.
so perhaps it's a problem in the default dir?!

OK - next test :-)

Downgraded 5.0.2 on my webserver to 5.0.1 (icl. Db) and everything is working fine again.

I installed 5.0.1 on my local server and then downloaded and installed the 5.01 installation from my webserver including database.
On my local machine I upgraded to 5.0.2 and everything is working fine.

If I do the same thing on my webserver (upgrade the same 5.0.1 version to 5.0.2) the FCK Editor / image browser crashes.
On Webserver (win 2003 R3) Everyone has FULLRIGHTS ! Db is same as on local. It's an image really!!!
Local server is Win7 by the way.

Until now I was unable to find the error on Webserver :-(

This error happens to me too, when I user russian language on the DNN portal.
When I add /language/en/ in the url, the problem does not happen.
So it seems related to localization.
