I am glad you worked it out.

One example for a verification rule for rich text is \A.{0,100}\z , which should limit the input to max. 100 characters.

The validation rules are defined as Regular Expressions.

Hi Stefan;

Thanks. Looked and studied the reference. However, either I don't understand or there is a different implementation being used. I tried the  \A.{0,100}\z example you gave for rich text. It works, so i assume that the Perl syntax is being used.  Also tried a\{3,5\} which, according to the Posix BRE specification in the reference you sent should permit aaa or aaaa or aaaaa. Does not work. Any help is appreciated. I'll play around some more to find out what seems to work.

On a different note: It seems that the 'max records per user' does not work unless it does not apply to administrators. I can create as many records as i want even though i have set the max value to 5.

Regards

Hans

Sorry, I don't know the Posix BRE specification. FnL uses the RegExp engine built into the .Net framework. Your statement should be written as a{3,5}. I am using Expresso for my RexExp work.

In case of using the rich text editor, please be aware that by default the input of aaa is returned as <p>aaa</p>

Yes, you are correct: administrators are not limited to the number of records set in "max records per user".
