Greetings all!

I have a DNN instance I am using for development that is DNN version 5.1.4 using SQL Express 2005 for the database (using the Database.mdf in the APP_Data folder).  I set up this instance on one dev machine and I am moving it over to another dev machine.  The problem I am having is that on the new dev machine when I try to run the site (IIS Setup on an XP machine), I get the Install screen for the site setup with the following message displayed on the first screen:

The Auto option has been disabled as the DotNetNuke Application cannot connect to a valid SQL Server database. You can continue to use either of the other two Wizard options and configure the Database settings at the appropriate Wizard step.

From what I have gathered elsewhere the problem is related to the database connection in the web.config not working and being able to connect to the existing database correctly.  In my web.config the connecction string is as follows:

     connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True"

Both machines use \SQLExpress for the SQLExpress database instance and both are using the Windows login for admin/dbo access. On the second machine I did try changing from .\SQLEpress to <machinename>\SQLExpress with now luck in that working.  I also added the ASPNET user account as a Schema Owner for dbo on this database on the second machine (from reading a post from someone else with a similar issue on the dnncreative.com site). This didn't work either for me.  So I am looking for some other ideas that I can try.  I really would like to have this using the above connection string since I eventually want to takke this DNN instance and post it for my other developers to be able to jut download and use with out a lot of fuss and everyone can be coding on a similar setup.

Thanks in Advance!

usually the problem occurs due to missing permissions or SQL server not properly configured. If the install wizard is showing up, DNN is not recognizing DNN installation properly. If you are using WinXP Pro, I always suggest using free XP Pro IIS admin (www.jetstat.com/iisadmin), to manage multiple sites on your dev machine.
