Hi,

In the Professional DotNetNuke Module Programming by Mitchel Sellers, it is being stated that to install the Skin Object, you'll have to go to Host -->Extension inorder to specify the Control Key and Control Src.  But I can't seem to find this in DNN 4.9.2.   Does anyone know where is this located or probably the equivalent?

One more thing, can you also get some data from the database and displly it here just like in a module?

Thanks!

Maricel

I tried the just importing the manifest to make the skin object work but no luck in that.  The workaround I did is, I package the skin object like a normal module and install it.  To check if it is installed, go to the Host --> Module Definition --> [Skin Object].  You should see your new control there.  Also take note that in the manifest, you will have to specify that the type is a skin object.

I tried connecting and get some data from the DB and it seems to work... ;)
