DNN 5.6.2 does indeed use that path and without permission it fails. Grant permission and files appear and errors disappear.



In previous versions DNN would use occasionally use the root of the drive, now it has changed to application startup directory instead of the intended server.mappath("~"). Something in the cache provider is not being intialized in the proper context under certain conditions.



Yes, 32 bit dlls are enabled on the 64 bit host. Would that affect caching?

I'm also using 32bit appPool on a x64 machine
