George, I don't understand your continue negativity. A bit of simple google searching (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&...=) will show that nasa have been using plone (a python based cms) since at least 2004 - but still thought fit to send a number of dev's to a dotnetnuke conference.

Please note, we have many ways of knowing companies who use dotnetnuke - not all of which we can publically state e.g. I receive a few hundred emails from companies large and small, including fortune 100, government and military to the security email address. However, due to all emails being under an NDA, I am not at liberty to reveal those.

Thanks,

Cathal

Cathal, I get a few emails from large companies in Sweden too, all of them unfortunately dont use DNN for the company they work for. Often they use DNN for some hobby site. They use their email from their company. I don't doubt there are large companies that use DNN but It would be nice to see a serious list for large companies that use DNN in public.

Thanks for volunteering to maintain this list, let us know where to send suggested additions.

Allan,

While at OpenForce 09 this year I attended a session put on by Mercer -- the provided Health and Benefits to Fortune 500.  During the presentation they detailed several clients -- American Express for example - that use there software and have review the code from a security point of view.  Mercer uses DNN as the engine to provide client internal Health and Benefits information.

What I found very pleasing about this presentation :

  1. A large corporation is using DNN as the base for the business to delivery information to their clients
  2. The client base for mercer is Forturne 100
  3. Most Clients performed in-depth review of applications as they are typically place inside the Client Network environment.
  4. DNN replaced a original Sharepoint application - Sharepoint could not provide the similar functionality
  5. DNN is used in various configuration - typically in a Web-Farm solution.

So .. I believe this one of the best references I seen in quite a while.

Paul.
