Hi everyone.

I am programmaticly making pages/tabs in a portal. I am not logged in to this portal, I am generating pages from a differen portal.

What I am trying to accomplish is to set the TabPermissions for 1) Registered Users, and another for 2) All users.

But when I try all the methods inside the DotNetNuke.Security.Permissions namespace, all methods are obsolete.

So I am not able to add the correct permissions.

Before, in version 4.x it was possible to copy the settings from a nother page with CopyTab, but this does noe seem to work anymore, at least not for permissions.

Can anyone help?

Best regards

Vidar

I use TabPermissionInfo and TabPermissionController [as well as PermissionController and PermissionInfo] to modify Tab permissions.

I haven't done copying permissions, but TabController has CopyPermissionToChildren - so if they are child pages *thumbs up*. Or you could create the page as a child of one [like a permission template page] and them move it to where you need it later.

I have done a lot with permission manipulation [sadly too lazy to get it release ready] but not with copying the permissions. :)

 Thanks.

But it seems not to work.

I understand you use the permissions namespaces when you do this. I have tried to find examples on how to make this, and have tried myself, but no luck. Do you, or anybody else an example on how to construct the permissions? Eg to have the permissions for "Registered users" applied to a tab.

It is important to say, this is for another portal then the one I am logged into when performing the updates.
