This is an error message following DNN upgrade from 4.9.5 to 5.1.4, from App_Code\Global.asax.vb

ComponentFactory.InstallComponents(New ProviderInstaller("members", GetType(DotNetNuke.Security.Membership.MembershipProvider)))

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Marina

do not upgrade to 5.1.4, perform a direct upgrade to DN 5.2.2 or 5.2.3 when available.

I have followed your advice and I have upgraded DNN from 4.9.5 to 5.2.2

The error message is not very helpful,

http://localhost:81/Default.aspx?tabid=62&error=Object+reference+not+set+to+an+instance+of+an+object&content=0

An error has occurred

Any ideas on how I should proceed?

Thanks,
Marina
