I upgraded to 5.1.1 awhile ago and everything was going great, now I am having this problem with my links. I use the editor and create a link, I use lock file, upload the file and add open in new window. Everything works great when I test. I log out and then the link is broken.

The following is what I get when I click on the link, I have to manually edit the link for it to work, not too bad for me but my client is not lets just say, not very web savy.

The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /LinkClick.aspx

I have worked on this for awhile now and it continues to be a problem. I understand there is a critical update, but not sure I want to upgrade until I fix this problem. I upgraded initially from 4.9

Thanks for any help.

Paul, is there are particular module you are using that is causing this? What is the path it is attempting to load that is not found (404)?

Thank You for your response.  I am using a donate button for Paypal but I have had this on for sometime, it has problems with other modules so I am careful where I put it on the site. The only thing I have done recently is added an event calendar from ivenmanger, I do not have any of the sub-modules on the home page though which is where I am having the problem.  What will happen is the link will have all the info for tracking but will say file not found.

Example -  I added a test link the link info from creating the link is as follows:

/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=k78YIcwfm7Q%3d&tabid=36 I test the link while I am logged in after I log out I get the not found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /LinkClick.aspx

Server Error in '/' Application.

The resource cannot be found.

It seems like my security changed somewhere I am not sure though, I have not changed anything.

Thank You

Hello - One of my customers notified me of an issue with a file. It exactly matched your description.  After a little investigation, it appears that the permissions for the main folder had View permissions for All Users unchecked.  Once I checked it in File Manager, all was well again.

So, once logged in as an Admin, click File Manager, and navigate to the folder in question.  For me, it was the Portal Root.

Down below where the permissions are, make sure that All Users has View checked.
