I have two portals. One Internet and one intranet portal. I need to have information shared accross these portals. For example I want some news to be visible on both portals and some information only on the specific portal. Is it possible to share modules across multiple portals?

In my case, I am using the Ventrian News Module, and I want to share categories across my portals, so I can post to the different portals. One category would be visible on the internet site and another on the intranet site.

How can I solve this problem?

Best regards,

Jonas

Jonas,

Need more information about your installation:
The two portals are installed on the same internet Server?

Yeah they are running on the same IIS and same installation. I created a new portal from my installation as a parent portal.

As host I installed a news module, and I can easily access this module on each portal. The function I am looking for is the "Add existing module...". Only problem is that I want to add a module from the other portal. I want to show the same news on each portal. Is this possible across portals?

Jonas,

The most appropriate solution for your problem is to use a single portal and create a structure of users with access rights to an internal (intranet) part.

I do not believe that it is possible to use a different portals module, for example, the primary key of moduleID is not going to combine. Perhaps another user has already done this, I do not know.
