Hi All,

I've just reinstalled xp pro and changed to 64bit edition.  I moved my site/projects over to the new hd and installed Visual Studio 2008.

I then tried installing DotNet2.0.  Long story short it wouldn't let me until i uninstalled vis studio and evberything else that is related to dotnet.  I eventually managed to get everything installed.

I added my existing site to iis after attaching it's database in sql manager.  When i try to run the site i just get 'The page cannot be displayed' error.  IIS is working as it can display the pictures in the various dnn folders.  Seems to be having trouble with aspx pages.

I checked the properties in iis and it is set to use dotnet v2.

Just to check i downloaded a fresh install of dnn and tried to install it on a test db.  Again same error.

Any ideas?

you don't need ASP.Net 2,0, Windows 2008 comes with .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 which is perfect for DNN 5.2

I was using xp pro 64bit

Made some progress.

In IIS Web Service Extensions i changed ASP.NET v2.0.50727 to allow.  At least now i'm getting asp errors instead of the vague 'The page cannot be displayed'
