I'm using DNN 5.1.4 and I have a file name that shows up when I look at the folder outside of DNN, but not within File Manager even after sycn.

If I change the name from its 107 characters (including the .pdf extension) down to 97 characters (including the .pdf extension) and resycn it shows up.  Anyting above 97 characters and it doesn't show up.

Is there a limit to the length of a file name in DNN/File Manager?

Thanks...

Hi Rick,

I don't know how to circumvent the apparent character limit, but I have had the exact same issue recently - especially with the core Repository module, which adds a long numeric string to files uploaded into it.  Since they don't show up in the File Manager, the only solution I've found is to go into the folder like you mentioned and manually abridge the file name.
