ok, I am confused. I want to use the source files to do an installation and be able to build a web site from that once I modify some of the core files. This is what I have done so far:

used vs2005 with sql 2005 express  to install the DNN application framework application. That works great but it's not connected to the source files at all (is it??). I want to be able to debug the core files so I can step through them and learn where things are make changes and publish them to a production site at some point. I have tried opening the files in the source but it says can't find project dotnetnuke_2 but I have a vs2005 web site called dotnetnuke_2. Can any one please tel what I am doing wrong. Again, I would like to open the source zip project in vc 2005 which contains the DNN solution file, the library file, and the web site file. I then want to make needed ajustments and learn the flow of things and compile this project to a production site. Sorry for going on but I am really confused. Any help would be great. Thanks, VC

As long as you have a virtual directory setup called DotNetNuke_2 that points to your DNN root, you should be fine with the solution that comes in the root of the release package. Not really sure what errors you're getting, so it's hard to help much beyond that.
