Hi.

I saw online somewhere that you can make reusable code libraries that you can use as dependencies or extra code features available to modules. The way I saw it, is that they are just plain ordinary modules but without any UI. I saw one of these in the installed extensions under libraries in my installed DNN site called DotNetNuke core framework. I am wondering how to create these little code modules so I don't have to worry about actually changing the DNN code itself. Of course, I'm sure that some of the stuff found in DotNetNuke.Library could be changed, but I don't know how to do this sort of stuff without making an over complicated mess out of deployment of modules and reusable code blocks. An example is probably in order.

I don't like how DNN handles RSS feeds for modules, so I want to create my own RSS framework that my modules can draw from. The framework doesn't have a UI, but I want to make it have some module features like the possiility to upgrade, install/uninstall and have it listed in the extensions manager. How do you do this?

Rather than packaging it as a "Module", you can use the new definition in the 5.x manifest to be a "Library" rather than a module.
