In trying to create a test environment by cloning the Virtual machines that both my app and SQL Server reside on.  The cloning went fine and we were able to rename the SQL instance.  I also changed the web.config file to point to the new name of the cloned SQL Server as well as the portal aliases under the host account.  Is there someplace else where the app server points to the SQL server because when I make changes within the web app it still makes those changes to my production environment.  Can someone help?  Is there a way to do this without having to completely re-create the DotNetNuke web site?  btw I am on version 4.09.00

Be sure to get BOTH connection strings in the web.config file

I did a find and replace in the web.config file and changed both.

There was something missing in the web.config file that I originally edited. Some custom pages use LINQ and that piece was missing.
