Hi,

Ive just installed the latest blog module on a Community Edition 05.02.01 (54).

Ive installed all modules on the 1 page & under the view blog heading I have the following error message

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.NavigationControl.SolpartMenuNavigationProvider.Bind(DNNNodeCollection objNodes) at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.SolPartActions.BindMenu(DNNNodeCollection objNodes) at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.SolPartActions.Page_PreRender(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Any idea what this might be?

Thanks in advance

If you check your event log you will also notice a Primary Key error.

This occures because the Blog currently appears to only support one Blog Module instance per portal  This seems odd since I should be able to add Blog modules on multiple pages.

My Fix:
The Primary Key on the dbo.Blog_Settings must be modified to include TabID.  Now the PK is logical and this issue seems to be resolved.  I had not tested any possible bad effects, but I don't think there should be any.

Is anyone testing RC 4?  There seems to be little activity.  Still no provision for Group Blog Editors for a single Blog.

Hi,

I also have the same problem until I upgraded my DNN version to 5.2.3, the error disappear.

But I found that there are lots of bug in the bolg module. When I view the site with Firefox, everyting in the blog modules seems ok, but with IE8, when click on Read more on the posted blog, error appear. Images of the location tag: Google; Facbook etc. does not appear. Furthermore, I try to comment on the posted blog, it als doe not work. I hope they recheck the blog module asap!!

@Richard - I'm on DNN 5.2.0.  Blog version 3.5.1.  I'm not seeing the formatting/layout problems you describe.  Take a look at my blog at http://www.dynamisys.co.uk/ForumsBlog... it works in IE8 for me, is it OK for you?

I DO have the default.aspx hack [1] in place to force IE8 viewers into compatibility mode.  Otherwise the third party menu I use does not display properly.
