Hi,

I am working with DNN newsletter module and found that newsletter content does not get saved in the database when sent. Since I am pretty new to DNN I would like to know if there is a easier way to customize this module to save newletter content so that I can archive the old newsletters. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Rohan.

Hi Rohan,

Since it's really easy to read the content of fck editor (TextEditor.Text) you can easily modify the source to store the content of newslatter in the database, however it will be easier to save it in a file and just add the filename in the database.

you can create you own module project, copy over newsletter files from /desktopmodules/admin/Newsletters, adopt namespace and adjust to your needs.

It is quite easy to save content of the newsletter and other data in a new table in the database, simply use a column of type nVarChar(Max).
