We were testing DNN and tried editing the same page at the same time two or more users. I expected DNN to warn the user that the page is currently edited by someone else but it doesn't. Is there a setting that I had to turn on? I'm using DNN 5.2 Professional edition trial

Thanks!!!

DNN doesn't currently have any features to support locking down or notifying editors if someone else is already editing content on a page.

Thanks for the quick turn around Chris, Much appreciated. This could be a huge disadvantage for DNN because the reality is, it's always a team of web adminitrators rather than a single person would work on a larger website. Therefore the chances of editing the same page at the same time is very likely.

editing content is always done in modules - you shouldn't expect many editors editing page settings and module positions/properties. within the modules, there are different mechanisms: - Text/HTML will create a version per editor - Announcements, Blog and other will create new entries per user, which might be saved independently.

Can you describe how you would organize your editorial team?

I can easily see one person doing (say) sport, another news.  As the site gets bigger I may want to split sport to (say) football, and other sports.  None of this seems to lead me to two people modifying the same page at the same time.
