I've got a request to set the default "Display Container" setting when adding new modules to off/unchecked, but haven't found where to make the change either in the db or the code - Can someone point me in the right direction ?

Thanks

In the module settings for any module on your site, under advanced settings there are two checkboxes, one for make default, and one for apply to all modules. You can use either of those, in combination with unchecking the "display container" option previously on that same settings page.

Thanks Chris - That works, but what we are trying to do is set the default behavior off prior to anyone adding the first module. It sounds like checking "Set As Default Settings" is making a call back to one of the tables and updating a value for each attribute applied to the module ? If that's somewhat correct, then couldn't we go in to that table and update the attribute for "Display Container" to turn it off right after we have created a new portal ?

Unfortunately I am not sure where that "default" setting is stored to make it prior to any modules being placed on the site

Hi, I've had a request today for this.  I need to be able to set it so that any module added to the site has "Display Container?" unchecked by default.  However, there doesn't appear to be an easy way to do this, other than perhaps altering/intercepting the stored procedure that adds the module to the page and updating the settings there - which I'm now resorting to.  Not ideal though.
