Hi All when I upgradet 5.3.0 from 5.2.3 I get the following error before anything runs.

Any advice, please thank you.

Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately.

Compiler Error Message: BC30002: Type 'Web.HttpResponse' is not defined.

As a further troubleshooting step,

I have found it to be a new file in the upgrade package that is causing the problem for me. 

I say this because if I extract my backup (a zip file) over the files in the root directory, without deleting the newer upgrade files, I get the same error, but if I delete the files in the root directory and then restore the back up files it works again.

That is a know error in the XML module which was mentioned in the DotNetNuke 5.03.00 release notes. Please see this thread for a work around:

I have solved it by simply deleting the download.vb under App_Code/XML/Handlers.
You can then try to install it under Host - > Extensions, scroll to the bottom and select "Install Additional Extensions".
