Hello,

I'm trying to make use of our existing user database (non DNN).  I've been trying to create my own custom membership provider but have hit a stumbling block.

How do i add these users into the asp membership tables (not sure what their meant to be called but the ones used by System.Web.Security.MembershipUser).

Simon

You really don't need to concern yourself with asp membership tables. those tables are used by the Provider.Membership.AspNetProvider which is a provider in its own. all you have to do is create a class that inherits DotNetNuke.Security.Membership.MembershipProvider. implement those methods to use your own back-end database and use that as your membership provider.
