Hey,

Im new at using DNN and am currently trying to create templates that use the add existing module feature in DNN. What I really want is to create a template that adds existing modules to pages so when one of the modules is updated with new content all of the pages created using that template have the same module content displayed.

Anyone have any ideas about how I could do this using templates?

Oh and im using DNN professional if that make a difference. Not sure what version but I can find out.

Thanks!

Helen

Hi Helen,

I'm not sure if I have the best answer but I will try.

If you want to have a module on all pages and be updated sitewide every time a change is made, it would probably be best to add the first module and then "Add Existing Module" to subsequent pages. These will be a copy of the module and stay constant when edited.

Last time I checked, using "Add module to all pages" in the module settings was finicky so I would beware of that option.

I hope this helps.

Aaron
