Hello all,

I am trying to upgrade from 5.2.3 to 5.3.1.

During the upgrade, on the application upgrade to 5.3.0 I get an error, but the application upgrade to 5.3.1 installs with no error.  (This is what is shown in the upgrade step's.)

I then also get and error in the installation of the messaging and tapping module.  WHen I look at the event view the error attached below is displayed.  Obvioulsy there is a duplicate file, but how do I find out which file the upgrade is trying to create.

strange, did you make sure, that ASP.net has full file system permissions for DNN installation directory including all subfolders? there might be permission for delete (overwrite) missing.

Hello Sebastian, as far as I can see yes, I have even go so far as to give everyone full control to the directory.  If I know where to look, it might help.

Regards

Rhys

providing everyone with full permission might not be the best solution, however, if the error still occurs, there must be another problem. ATM I am running out of ideas, sorry.

I realise that, but it was troubelshooting step, which failed, is there any what that I can see what files are being created or delete by the upgrade?

Thanx
