I have loaded the FCKEditor into my portal and it is working fine on the standard modules but throws an error when loading or saving to a database field in a custom module. The standard editor packaged with DNN works fine.
I use the following code to store and retrieve data to MSSQL2000 db into a field of type text.

mController.UpdateListing(Me.txtUpcomingEvents.Text)
or
If Not IsDBNull(dtTable.Rows(0)("UpcomingEvents")) Then Me.txtUpcomingEvents.Text = dtTable.Rows(0)("UpcomingEvents")

in both cases the code has worked fine with the standard editor... any ideas on what could be the problem?

I would like to see your code on how you are creating the editor object. Lots of non standard modules and fckeditor work with them just fine.

Please try to include more info
