I'll look at it..

It's a change in DNN 5.2 I think

I'll try to correct that but I might have to create 2 skin objects, one for DNN 5.2+ and one for DNN 5.2-

Jon, I couldn't resist...

Thanks Timo..! I've checked it out in a 5.2.2 installation and it works like "the bizniz". Haven't tried it ou on anything earlier or later than this install though.

Tell me, how would this differ to the solution I found above..? Will the caching play an effect on this as well..? Is this the elegant, definitive solution right now..? Com'on you can brag if you need to...

Also, future proof?

What I created is not a core solution, that one is a lot more complex because it has to support inline editing too.

I just wanted to help people who need a cleaner Title SKO.

I tested this in DNN 484 and DNN 5.2.1 and I missed the issue that it does not work correclty if your not logged in in DNN 5.2.1.

Since this is kind of off topic, read my comment on codeplex about this.

I created a skinobject for DNN 5 now, it's on the codeplex page (and will not work in DNN 4).

The cache should not influence this IMO, because I now used the DNN5 way to retrieve the page title.

Anyway, this is not a reason to NOT incorporate something like this in DNN core skin objects, but that will take a lot longer..

Basically what dnn needs are a nr of custom skinobjects that allows templated output

Echo that.  It would sure simplify the learning curve for skinning.
